SURVIVAL COOKING

This class is designed for individuals, including young adults with intellectual disabilities, who have had little experience with meal preparation or the opportunity to cook independently. The focus will be on basic or "survival" cooking skills and learning to make healthy food choices while practicing time management. Nutrition, cost, safety and ease of preparation will be emphasized. A one-time $25 lab fee is payable to the instructor on the first night of class.
