Hatha yoga consists of deep, relaxing breathing techniques, gentle stretches, yoga poses (asanas) and restorative relaxation. Benefits may include greater flexibility, strength, balance, well-being, enhanced immunity, improved circulation and a more toned body. Yoga will not only help you feel more comfortable with yourself but will offer greater awareness of body and mind. This often leads to greater serenity about life in general. Please dress in layers, nothing tight around the waist. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket and an eye pillow if you have one. Best not to eat just before class.
